Hello!
We started with openDesk testinstallations up from version 1.1.2. For this we used kubespray to rollout a tiny test cluster. Since we are kubernetes beginners there must be (maybe) a better way to rollout/manage the test cluster.
If you want to join, contribute or shar your experiences please let me know!
Two sidenotes to the last releases:
v1.2.1: Installation of newer version of openproject will fail. Workaround f.e. was to use the older version from v.1.1.2, see helmfile/environments/defaul/charts.yaml.gotmpl
v1.3.0: atm it fails in an early state of the installation, see issue #175.
If you are interested in a markdown for „how to install“, let me know.
Best regards,
Stephan
Hello,
I am also trying to evaluate OpenDesk using kubespray. It is a good hint to use Release v1.2.1.
Maybe we and others who are interested in installing opendesk via kubespray could meet in a call and share experiences?
I also reached out to zendis and asked for a Community Edition „install event“.
I experienced such install meetings in other open source driven projects happening on a regular basis (monthly, i guess). In my opinion, such events really help to grow the community.
The mentioned „how to install“ would be very appreciated.
Or to be more precise, I think the official „Getting started“ documentation could get a bit more beginner friendly. Maybe we can help to point out and contribute back a few inital hurdles we experienced.
Best, Tobias
sidenote: in v1.3.1 issue #175 is fixed. For the trouble with openproject a chmod 1777 on the pv directory of your storage provider may help.
